THE COP AND THE GIRL

1984. Stars Jürgen Prochnow, Annette Von Klier.

A German film dubbed in English, this one qualifies as a must-see for being so bad that it's great. Highly illogical plot involves Jürgen as a renegade cop who gets mixed up with an 18-year-old girl wrongly accused of a crime. They fall in love and end up on the run together for no good reason, then end up dead. The fun here is not only in the silliness of the thing, but in the warped chemistry between Prochnow and Von Klier. First prize for a Worst-Dressed Jürgen.
