1992. Stars Annette O'Toole, Anthony Andrews, Jürgen Prochnow

Extremely childish epic romance with O'Toole as an American-turned-British duchess raising a family in France during WWII and after. Jürgen is the Nazi officer who gains her love but not much else whenever her husband isn't around. The whole thing is ghastly, but give Jürgen lots of credit for playing a military man who's such a weenie you'd like to smack him. Frankly, we couldn't have pictured him portraying a lovesick sap as maddeningly well as that - but we wouldn't have missed it for the world. First prize for a Best-Dressed Jürgen.
