OUR MASCOT

Please say hello and congratulations to our mascot, Mr. Limpet!

Mr. Limpet was voted the Jürgen Prochnow Watchdog Society mascot by a fair and democratic process, which in the case of the JPWS means an e-mail exchange like this:

Jürgen starring in the remake of THE INCREDIBLE MR. LIMPET

---

God, what a great idea!!! Instead of the Limpet thrum, he can yell "ALAAAAARM!!!", he'd be wet all the time, and he might even have to wrestle a shark. Now there's a High-Concept Film!!!

---

Oh, my god... Jürgen as a fish screaming ALAAAAARM!!!
Stop it!!!

---

Yeah, yeah... Germans wondering "Was ist Das Limpet?", scenes of submarines being hit by depth charges. Oh, the possibilities!!!

---

Well, I was going to watch The Human Bomb again but now I can't because Jürgen's in that blue shirt the whole time and I'll keep thinking of that stupid blue fish. I REALLY hate you.

You know, not to offend anybody, because we just love Don Knotts - really we do - but having seen Don in military uniform, and given the fact that the Mr. Limpet role is largely voice-over, we feel that Jürgen definitely has the edge for preference even if Mr. Limpet is a U-boat killer. Don's a sweetie, but Jürgen looks better in uniform (come to think of it, Mr. Limpet looks better in uniform than Don does), and Jürgen has the better voice.

Also, just once we'd like to see Jürgen at the end of a movie WITH the babe and not shot up. We'll take anything that even comes close. Mr. Limpet gets a cartoon-fish babe and doesn't end up dangling on the end of a hook. He's close enough.

Jürgen could swap just about any role with Don in exchange for Mr. Limpet: The Woodsman... Joachim... Sutter Cane... Major Muller... but we hope it'll be Miles Falconet because we would enjoy seeing Uma Thurman as Don Knotts' fiancee in a costume drama. Rob is looking forward to it already.

But role or no role, Mr. Limpet is the ideal mascot for Jürgen. He's wet, he's romantic, he's a war hero, and he yells real good. What more could you possibly ask?

Welcome aboard, Mr. Limpet!
