PASSION AND VALOR
1983. Stars Michael Landon, Moira Chen, Jürgen Prochnow.
True story of a journalist who gets kicked out of Laos under Communist rule and sneaks back to get the woman he loves. Jürgen is the general who wants to keep her himself. So bad it's good - mostly. The toughest part to take is the hideous overbearing musical score and Michael Landon's mop of hair. There's a bizarre and embarrassing scene in which Prochnow and Landon have a boxing match. Otherwise it's a good role for Jürgen, who is pretty scary as a rotten guy with too much power who tries to have feelings but doesn't know how most of them work.
