THE LAST RUN

2000. Stars Armand Assante, Jürgen Prochnow, Ornella Muti.

Political intrigue-action film, set largely in Eastern Europe, with Prochnow as the guy with the key that everybody wants. Question is, what does the key open? This film has a few nice moments, but fails as cinema on so many counts that it's just not worth the time unless you're an Armand Assante groupie. Prochnow fans who pass on this won't be missing much.
